Well the party is officially over! The awards banquet is always time to give thanks to the volunteers, sponsors, fans, and of course the mushers and fine Teams!
Pete has now tied Jeff King as the winningest Team on the Kuskokwim 300 Sled Dog Race. He spoke of how special it was to have tied his idol. He told the crowd that he was a fan of Jeff King even before he began racing and to stand on even ground was truly an honor.
