Mushers drew starting positions for the K300 tonight. The Long House Bethel Hotel conference room was packed with well wishers, mushers, and of course the Press as mushers selected their bib numbers. The way it works is that Mushers pick their starting position based on when they sign up for the race, so the first musher to sign up gets to select their starting position. Remaining mushers select available positions until all positions are filled. Pete chose number 18.
