What A GREAT DOG TEAM!!

I know I’ve posted this before on so many races, but WHAT a GREAT Looking TEAM!!

WOW! That was cool!

Pete and the Team arrived about 3 minutes after Riley Dyche had completed his rest and left Kalskag. Pete quickly dropped a dog and was back out on the trail. The Team looked AMAZING as they sped out of sight and back onto the trail.
Riley Dyche out of Kalskag at 12:13 and Pete out at 12:16. It’s strange to have this section of the race in the afternoon, but here we are! 50 miles to Tuluksak. Last year Pete made the run in 4:49 which would put him into Tuluksak at around 5pm.
A mandatory 4 hour rest in Tuluksak means leaving around 9pm. Last year Pete made that run in just under 5 hours, so that could be a race finish between 2 and 3 am if not sooner.
I’m truly amazed to see Team Kaiser after 200 miles! Whoosh and they were gone!! On the first update it shows Pete just about a mile behind Riley. As John Baker said once before, “You don’t want to have Pete Kaiser on your tail as you make your way down!”
The wind is starting to pick up on the upper train and we all know what’s coming. The trail, though, should be amazing and fast.

If you have Facebook, make sure to check out https://www.facebook.com/Kuskokwim300 – The K300 Facebook. They have some kids doing the videos of the Teams at the checkpoints that are doing a GREAT job!

Mike Williams is doing excellent as well and is now in 3rd position! Go Mike GO!

What a great afternoon for racing!

Go Team Kaiser!
