Dog Day Afternoon

Stopped by the Kaiser dog yard early this afternoon. It is blowing quite a bit and Ron told me that he was up at 3am clearing drifts for the dogs. It is blustery and cold, but sunny and clear. Temperatures are pretty chilly and I about froze my hands just taking photos today.

Here are the dog yard visit photos.

A Windy Night for the Kaiser Kennels

From Janet this morning-

The wind has us on edge tonight. Havoc in the dog yard, alarm set for a 3 AM yard check for drifting snow… the force of this wind reminds me of the 2009 race where we had much warmer temps and the race got delayed. It was rain and so slick you couldn’t get around. The back wall of one of our buildings blew out that night, and everyone slept in the living room. upstairs was too noisey…noisey again tonight.

Good Luck to them!! It won’t be raining this year. Cold, Windy, and Clear this morning. The wind is kicking snow up and probably causing drifts in open areas. We haven’t had much wind this month, so there is a lot of snow to move around.

Morning Forecast:

.TONIGHT...CLEAR. AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW REDUCING VISIBILITY TO LESS
THAN ONE MILE AT TIMES. LOWS ZERO TO 10 BELOW. NORTH WIND 15 TO 30
MPH. ALONG THE COAST...NORTH WIND 30 TO 45 MPH. WIND CHILLS 25 TO 35
BELOW.
