Finish Line – 7 am

Good Morning Team Kaiser! Pete and the Team are out of Safety inbound for NOME! In a race that has seen such excitement and drama, the end is near!

As we look at the leaderboard, it is humbling to see Team Kaiser finish ahead of so many quality teams all with the same drive and expectation as Pete and the Team. A 13th place in this race is an achievement to be proud.

Our expectation is that Pete and the Team should be into the Finish Line in an hour or so. A small contingent of supporters will be there to cheer him on and we will have it online for you as soon as we return from the Finish Line.

Pete and the Team are out of White Mountain at 10:27pm with 9 dogs. Mitch Seavey made the run in about 9 hours and 30 minutes. We are expecting a Finish for Team Kaiser at just before 8am. Stay Tuned.

Weather for tonights mushing is perfect. Very little wind with temperatures just below zero.

It has been a long race and a 13th place finish as very respectable end to this years adventure.

As the leaders leave White Mountain on their final stretch into Nome, Pete is just arriving into White Mountain- he should be there within the next 30 minutes. He will have an 8 hour mandatory layover before also returning to the trail.

The support crew for Team Kaiser is in Nome at this time. Pete’s little guy and Bethany arrived yesterday and are also waiting patiently for Daddy to arrive.

All of our YK Delta mushers are out of Unalakleet at this time:

Mike Williams Jr. – Into Elim.

Richie Diehl – Into Shaktoolik

Mike Williams Sr. – On the trail to Shaktoolik.

Nome is preparing for the arrival of the winner this afternoon. The finish is expected around 11pm this evening.

Beautiful Weather here in Nome and along the coast today. It is a sunglasses day for sure!
